On the road with Dean’s Gutters (December)

Wow another really busy month for us all at Deans Gutters, December is always a busy month and there’s always  the usual rush to get things finished before the Christmas break.  Few memorable jobs from this month, one of our regular yearly clients in Farnham booked in and said they think there was a blocked gutter, usual signs water coming over the top when it rains. Got to the lady’s house and identified the blockage straight away, water butt joint these are a regular weekly job on our rounds, l went to work clearing the gutters up top from ladder by hand, then taking apart the swan neck at the top of down pipe to give myself some movement to lift the blocked down pipe, within minutes it was all clear and 100% working again, but a big blockage none the less, which was causing a damp external wall for few months.

A new client from Alton was struggling to get somebody to clear her concrete gutters, we come across these from time to time, l called round to see the lady beforehand and just have a look at everything.  A concrete gutter is a lot deeper and wider than a usual gutter, let’s just say 9 buckets later the gutter was clear, another new happy client so win win as far as I’m concerned.

It’s not often we get our sky-vac out, it’s industrial gutter vacuum fitted with camara so we can see what we are clearing, we only use this on three story properties, or hard to reach areas and certain types of gutters, we where called back to a farm in Haslemere we done two years ago, everything g fitted with seamless gutters, so afternoon was spent looking at the monitor and hoovering out the gutters.

So that’s the end of business for us for 2024, the diary already starting to fill for 2025 so looking forward to getting back out and about in January. I would like to wish all our clients a happy new year.
